Privacy Policy
Effective 22 August 2026 · Last updated 22 August 2026
Jomoq is based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. For anything privacy-related, email jomoq.project@gmail.com.
1. What we collect
- Account: email, name, and sign-in data, handled by our authentication provider (Clerk).
- Content: chats, projects, files, and pages you sync while signed in, stored with Supabase.
- Billing: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers.
- Usage: message counts for plan limits, and aggregate analytics (Google Analytics).
- Device: a signed token that identifies a browser for abuse prevention and guest limits.
2. How we use it
To run the Service: sign you in, sync your content, answer your prompts, enforce plan limits, prevent abuse, process payments, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your chats or projects to train AI models.
3. AI processing
When you send a message, it (with relevant context) goes to the AI provider behind the model you picked so it can generate the reply. Providers we route to include Groq, DeepSeek, Cerebras, Google, OpenRouter, NVIDIA, Morph, and, when you bring your own key, Anthropic and OpenAI. If you use research tools, your queries go to search and data services (Tavily, Firecrawl, and public APIs such as Wikipedia, arXiv, PubMed, SEC EDGAR, and FRED).
4. Who we share with
Only service providers that run the Service: those listed above, plus our host (Netlify), Google Fonts, Resend for transactional email, and Cohere for search embeddings. We may also disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms, protect users, or as part of a corporate transaction that honors this policy.
5. Your own API keys
Keys you add in Settings stay in your browser and are passed through our relay to the provider you chose, per request. We do not log them.
6. Cookies and local storage
We use browser storage for sign-in state, your settings, and local copies of your work, and analytics cookies for aggregate usage. Clearing your browser storage removes local data.
7. Retention and deletion
We keep your content while your account is active. Delete your account (or email us) and we delete your personal information within a reasonable period, except what we must keep for legal or billing reasons.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited, and provider keys are held server-side as environment secrets. No system is perfectly secure; tell us immediately at jomoq.project@gmail.com if you suspect a problem.
9. Where data lives
Our providers operate mainly in the United States, so your information is processed there and in Canada. We rely on our providers’ safeguards for these transfers.
10. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) and similar laws elsewhere, you can ask for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and withdraw consent. Email jomoq.project@gmail.com and we will respond promptly. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
11. Children
The Service is not for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
12. Changes
We may update this policy. For material changes we will update the date above and give reasonable notice.
